Time & Fees

Clarity about the time and money you’re committing to your intensive is important to us at Gentle Intensives, LLC. We understand that it’s an investment, and we value making sure you’re informed about what an intensive asks from you, specifically below in terms of time and fees.

TIME STRUCTURE

At Gentle Intensives, LLC, we serve patients across time zones. Please remember that you are responsible to be aware of any differences in time zone and calendar appointment listing and to ensure that you arrive on time at the beginning of your Orientation Meeting, intensive day(s), and following all breaks.

Consult meeting: Prior to an intensive at Gentle Intensives, LLC, a free Consult Meeting of 30 minutes is required. This is the case for both new and returning intensive patients. It’s an important part of the process and sets the tone for each intensive experience you seek.

Transition meeting: We wish to help make your transition out of the intensive a smooth one. We do this by having a single “unit” Transition meeting, which lasts for 50 minutes, at the end of all Full- and Extended-intensives. (Units are explained below.)

Intensives: Here’s how we put together each gentle intensive. Intensives are built from units. Each unit consists of 50 minutes of clinical time and 10 minutes of break.

Breaks: We’re serious about breaks! Breaks are an essential period of rest and integration following clinical time and as such are considered a necessary component of intensive treatment. Please arrive on time at the start of your intensive and after your breaks. If you arrive late, be aware that time will be deducted from your clinical time in order to preserve your break. Breaks are important to preserve.

For every three-unit day of intensive time, you may choose your pattern of breaks:

·      10 minutes of break after every 50 minutes of clinical time, including the final hour

·      15 minutes of break between the first and second 50 minutes of clinical time and again between the second and third 50 minutes of clinical time

Multiple-day intensives also use breaks as an essential component of treatment by placing a day between each intensive day for the patient to rest and to integrate the treatment.

Just as within-intensive breaks are considered an essential component of intensive treatment (for rest and integration), between-intensive breaks are also necessary. Therefore, patients who seek intensives at Gentle Intensives, LLC, must break according to the following schedule before having another intensive:

·      4 weeks after a Mini-intensive

·      6 weeks after a Full-intensive

·      8 weeks after an Extended-intensive

NOTE: It is expected that patients will continue to meet with their regular therapist and other regular members of their care team following an intensive as a central component of transitioning and integrating after an intensive.

FEE STRUCTURE

Here are the costs of all of our services. Payment is due at time of scheduling. There is a 48-hour No-regrets Policy: If within 48 hours of paying to proceed to an intensive you change your mind, you may cancel for a refund of the intensive cost, minus a $25 administrative fee. (The cost of the Orientation Meeting that you attended is not refunded, as the clinician has a right to be compensated for their time.)

Consult Meeting
The 30-minute Consult Meeting is free. If it becomes apparent during the Consult Meeting that there is not a fit for an intensive, the meeting will end early.
